hibiscus splendens

I am a Californian growing a hibiscus splendens that apparently grows wild in Australia. Does anyone on this forum have information about the cold hardiness of this plant? Also, any special cultivation techniques for this plant.

Hi your Californian weather would be about the same as where it grows here on Australia.
Our winter temps here get down to 2 degs Cel around 36 F and they can get even colder inland.
If they do get burnt by the frost they will reshoot.
