What palm moth are you talking about? Are you thinking of the yellow palm dart larvae that loves to strip Alexandras and Piccabeens? I don't have much problem with it here but in the past I have found Carbaryl to be quite effective.

I fertilize my palms in the Rainy Season with seasol over the foliage every week, they seem to grow so much faster then, but will it ever rain. -----MM.

Andrew, I think it is the Palm Dart. Last year my Alex and Livistonias were attacked pretty bad . They make a cocoon
using the palm leaf. I will try the carbaryl. Thanks Don

With regards to fertilising, I use Tropic or CK88 during the growing season. Just have to be careful not to be too heavy handed. These fertilisers are high in nitrogen and will really give palms a good kick away.

Andrew.
