My Bamboo's leaves are yellowing.

| Of my seven Bamboo that are planted across my back fence two of them are very yellow with hardly any green leaves on them at all.
The other five are all green with just a couple of yellowing leaves, I dont remember them going yellow at all last winter ( there first) could this mean that the two very yellow ones are dieing, or is it just change of season yellowing.

| IF the ground was left to go dry you cannot really see that underneath the surface there is still some moisture to protect the roots. If the roots go dry then they may burn or dieback and this will cause a great stress on the plant. Maybe this happened ? |

| No they are watered often and have about 20 cms ( 8 ins) high of mulch around each, not near the stems though. I check them every day to see if they are damp and they are, so it is not that. Could be they are not used to the cold nights we have had the past week. |

If it's any consolation our timor black has just started to do the same thing ... we also live west bris suburb. The other different varieties haven't been effected. The TB might be more exposed. Hopefully it's just cold. Here's to crossing fingers .... |

| You could be right as they were the two end ones and open to the frost we had in south of brissie a couple of weeks ago. Those leaves have all dropped off, just a few green ones there now, so hopefully they will sprout again in the warmer weather. |
