In Darwin the gold leafed form is used widely in median strip and roundabout plantings. I used to have a purple leafed form as well but that has since died out in my garden after being shaded out...
Are there any other coloured leafed forms around?

I put a call out for "Blackie" some time ago on GW but had no replies to date. I have the lime/gold one in my garden here and it does well in all soil but does get some sort of pin pricking over the leaves as the season goes on. You can eat the tubers which are very dry but ok for cakes etc. The best way to get different ones is to buy any different types you see in the fruit shop and plant them or their shoots and see what you get. I have heard if you use the shoots and not the tuber you do not pass on any virus to the new plant. Doesnt seem right but maybe its more than a bit of gardening fiction.

Does anybody have any of these plants spare by any chance? I am sure we can come to some arrangement, ie swaps, payment? Please get in touch, regards.
