| G day and aloha,
I have a question regarding your native tree fern. In the U.S we just generally call them australian tree ferns. I have one specimen that has a small baby growing from the mother tree. Is it advisable to cut the baby off, or will that adversely affect the mother tree? |

| G'Day Kekoa, My advice is to leave it as is, although I have taken entire stems from my tree ferns (wind/sunburn) and they simply grow another to replace it. Generally speaking, ferns dont respond to pruning in the same way that many other plants do. Personally, I'd be very happy if mine began to self-propagate - you must be doing something right :) Hope this helps, Artie |

| Thanks for the advice Artie. Ill just leave the baby. Might look kinda interesting as the plant gets bigger! |
