Piper Methysticum (Kava)

I am interested in growing a specimen of Piper Methysticum Kava) as a houseplant. I have been unable to locate viable seed (which I really didn't expect) or a live cutting. I have a lot of "ethno-botanicals" to trade. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Given the fact that it's such a well know plant, I'm very surprised it's not readily available.

Merlin, given this is the Aussie tropicals forum, I don;t expect anyone can help you much as live plants or cuttings from Australia to US are difficult to impossible. And no, I don't grow this plant or know a source here.
I think you will have to pursue your enquiries in your home region where hopefully you will find a grower with similar interests. Good luck
