ylang ylang transplant shock

the 5' ylang ylang tree i transplanted (was terribly root bound) is suffering transplant shock. are they usually difficult to transplant? is there any support/help i can give? sure don't want to loose this baby so would appreciate any

try cutting it back. smaller trees generally transplant easier but you got what you got!you can also try a liquid feed with fish emulsion.if you have any other trees to go out next time try some Envy we use it on advanced plants when landscaping. it helps prevent moisture loss thru leaves.ylangylangs are pretty hardy,just be careful where you put them they grow as fast as quandongs and tend to shed the bottom branches.i've heard that in the phillipines were they are grown commercially they copice them so they can reach the flowers.unfortunately i didn't get around to that and now mine are huge! There is a thread over on the general Tropicals Forum about shipping/ moving Sandat/ Ylang Ylang trees.
Apparently the root system is very sensitive.
