Shell Ginger in the Sun

| I have some Shell Ginger growing in semi-shade and it is doing fine. I would like to transplant some to a sunnier spot.
How much sun would they take?

They easily tolerate full sun as long as they have enough moisture. If they also suffer water stress, the leaves may burn. Also, full sun often means less protection from wind and this may cause leaf damage. Generally this species does equally well in full sun and part shade. |
