Brown tips on Tibouchina leaves

| I have a Tibouchina Alstonville in Williamstown, Victoria that's been in for about 10 months now (about 1.5m high now). It is in a very sunny position (west facing but full sun from early morning onwards). The tree has been vigorously growing leaves since planted and looks fairly healthy. However, the tips of most of the leaves are a bit brown and if anything this has increased over summer. It is well watered and well mulched, albeit in fairly sandy soil. I've seen it written that Tibouchinas can be difficult to establish but if anyone has any tips or advice that would be appreciated. I have been looking forward to the purple flowers over the next few months. |

| Tibouchinas like an evenly moist soil and will develop brown tips if allowed to dry out. Keep well-mulched to help avoid it. |
