What is this plant?

I took this photo some time ago and would like to identify the plant in it. It grows about 60 cm high, white flowers, glossy leaf and has an open habit.

Does anyone know it?

At first glance it looks a bit like a Pimelea of some sort, or a plant from the same family at least.

Hi Greg - I had a look at Pimelea linifolia which could be it.
Look here --->

under Thymeleaceae

What do you think??

I think it may be Platysace lanceolata. Try crushing the leaf and see if it smells like raw carrot.

Hi Tony - You may be correct as when you look at leaf and where each is fixed to the branch in my photo, you will see that although opposite, are arranged with a step in leaf spacing. (Probably a term for this but doesn't come to mind at the moment)

I'm not sure Pimelea have this, maybe Greg can help here.

I haven't smelt the foliage yet.

The few Pimeleas I know well have opposite or whorled leaves and they are not as large as with this particular plant.

What about that Pimelea whose common name is Bootlace Bush. Does anyone know what that one looks like?

I'm with Tony on this one, initially I thought Pimelia too, but the leaves suggest more likely to be Platysace lanceolata.
