| I keep getting advertising appearing acroos the top of the screen and down the side whenever I open a message, has the managers of this forum spoilt it by stooping to the wants of advertisers? Do they need the money? Gees this computer of mine, in an area where I'm unable to access cable, is slow enough already!! Might have to stop coming in here, and that'd be a shame. Anyone else having this problem? |

Thanks Mistymorn, for your response, I'll go have a look at Gardening in Oz and, sadly, leave the Gardeweb site for those with speedier computers.
PS. The add above: "Find Recipes for the Perfect Treats in....." Or on the side "The Volvo XC 90", what've they got to do with gardening? The adds aint even relevant! |

The ads are almost totally irrelevant to us.
These sites have American roots and therefore the ads are American. Roy |

I have exactly the same problems as "funnelweb" does. No broadband available and snail pace download speeds at the best of times-- made worse by advertising.
