Melaleuca alternifolia tea tree

Hi guys , i wondered if anyone could give me some advice on repotting a small Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree). that i have here in the uk. What kind of soil/compost should i use and is there a particular time to take cuttings.

Just not too rich a soil. Aus natives need very poor soil. Ti Trees are not too bad, but phosphorus is a disaster to many aus natives esp the proteacea family.
Take cuttings in spring. Grow easily provided you keep them moist. Your spring may be cooler than ours so could even go into summer. Any seed raising mix will do. You can treat them hard once they are established. mine get no water and general neglect.
