Grass tree repotting

| I have been told that when repotting a Grass Tree into a larger pot that it is best to leave it in it's original pot and just pot into the larger one so as not to disturb the roots. Is this correct or should I just repot it like all other plants? |

| I was told to cut the top off to soil level and the bottom out of the pot (plastic) before planting in the ground. i did that in Autumn and new growth is happening. The plant had flowered once since I bought it: about a foot tall. (sorry, still not good at cms!) |
