Crinum pedunculatum query

Hello all
wondering as to whether any people have Crinums that are not growing in full sun.
Interested in people experiences. My scenario is a shaded area over winter though in summer (and say 4-5 months) it is a searing position.
I can replicate their soil requirements, just worried about the shade issue
any thoughts much appreciated

| Massive big clump growing in the shade of a beach Almond just over the road . It looks fantastic and seems to be immune to those horrible caterpillars that munch down the smaller Crinums. |

Hi Andrew, My Crinum pedunculatum is growing in full sun - but I notice them lining the creeks - and the Bremer River - in the Ipswich area. You can see them from the car as you drive between Toowoomba and Brisbane. The banks are deep and steep, and I think they'd get a lot of shade in winter. They also have permanently wet feet (and some brackish water) but mine seems happy with Toowoomba Drought, in a bed of deep sand over heavy clay, which probably keeps fairly weet from eighteen inches to two feet underground.
