Bush Pear (Leichhardtia australis) – Family Asclepiadaceae. Native to inland central desert areas of Australia. Common names: Bush pear; bush banana, Cogla, Utiralya(plant), Kalkula(fruit). Now reclassified as Marsdenia australis. Judging from the distribution map in Flora of Australia vol. 28, it doesn't come east of about Charleville in Qld or Bourke in NSW. Sorry I don't know of a seed source. My recollection is that it's quite common when you get out into the red sandhill country. The closely related M. viridiflora (syn. Leichhardtia leptophylla) is more eastern, occurring in the Brisbane region.
