growing waratahs

I am growing a number of waratahs (Telopea) in New Zealand. They are growing well and budding up but the leaves are turning light green/yellow. ould this be due to a very wet season ? Any ideas to combat this ?

RE: growing waratahs

Possible magnesium deficiency. I had the same problem with some Banksia and a bit of magnesium sulfate fixed them right up. You could also use dolomite lime that also contains magnesium.
