Shade and drought plants

Hi All.... Hope some of you can help.
I am in process of landscaping out an area south facing so in perpetual shade over winter and very harsh conditions, full sun over summer.
The brief is also for drought resistance as I am not going to set up an irrigation system, just a hose from the deck above if it is going to be a scorcher.
Figure lomandras and westringias for starters and I am interested in peoples success with natives, preferrably native to the sydney sandstone that will tolerate these conditions
Look forward to any pointers
thanks andrew |

| Crowea saligna and exalata originiate from your region I think and they are tough little plants once established. What about NSW Waratah. |

I wonder if you could get hold of "pretty pants", Hypoestes floribunda? There aren't all that many natives that flower well in the shade, but this is one. Trish |

Thanks all Yep most of these are on the prop list. Got 120 Dianella Pruninas amongst a zillion others. I figure that Telopeas with deal with it quite well. Thanks to you all! A |
