Lechenaultia Biloba 'Mullewa Blue' turned brown

I have had this plant in a pot for almost a year. It has been growing beautifully. It has more than tripled it's size and has just had the most beautiful display of blue flowers covering the bush.

Now, all the foliage is going brown and looks like it's going to die.

I have not done anything different recently.

I have no idea what has happened. Can anybody shed some light on these plants?

I find the sky blue flowered forms of Lechenaultia biloba to be quite hardy but the royal and deep blue flowered varieties seem to be prone to sudden death.

Either they are particularly susceptible to Phytophthora and poor drainage or they do not form as strong root systems from cuttings as the sky blue flowered forms.

I find granitic sand to be a good compromise between good drainage and adequate moisture retention for Lechenaultia.

Bondy you are from the United Kingdom and importing/exporting seeds via mail in both Australia and the United Kingdom is in contravention of the quarentine laws of both countries.

I don't mean to be nasty but there are higher issues involved here than just Australian native plants and getting them.
