| Stop nuturing it. If its growing conditions are too good then it is not going to realise it is mortal and needs to reproduce before it karks it. Banksias especially B. serratas, thrive under stress provided it is not wrong fertilser or too wet, etc. Look at the natural conditions for B. serrata and you will see they thrive on those rocky, skeletal, Hawkesbury sandstone soils. Which reminds me, where is Cas Liber when you need him!! |
