banksia serrata not flowered in two years

Hi all I was hoping to get some insight into why my 3 m tall banskia serrata has not yet flowered. I have nutured it from a 1 metre tall speciemen but it hasnt once produced
a flower but has grown very quickly to three metres in two years now is that normal???

Stop nuturing it. If its growing conditions are too good then it is not going to realise it is mortal and needs to reproduce before it karks it. Banksias especially B. serratas, thrive under stress provided it is not wrong fertilser or too wet, etc.

Look at the natural conditions for B. serrata and you will see they thrive on those rocky, skeletal, Hawkesbury sandstone soils.

Which reminds me, where is Cas Liber when you need him!!
