Correa cuttings - when to expect roots?

Posted by Lou_aust Melb, Vic (My Page) on

I took numerous cuttings from various of my correas during autumn. They look OK in the pot - ie the few leaves I left on haven't withered away. I've given them 2 serves of plant starter but realise I have no idea when I'm sposed to check them or pot them into single pots or whether they can be transplanted straight into the garden. advice appreciated

Usually strike pretty quickly if the right material is taken - new growth hardened off but springs back when bent. (It should not be too woody) Wounding helps as does heat and mist.

We pot up when roots appear out the bottom of the pots of cuttings.

With Clonex treatment at preparation time plus bottom heat and misting, it takes around 3-4 weeks for roots to appear at the bottom of the pots.
