I have this growing on my block. Far Nth Qld, inland from Cairns. Dryish area, sandy loam over clay.
Would love to know what it is if someone can help me.
Cheers

Tacca integrifolia, also known as Bat Plant. Mostly found in FNQ and Torres Strait Islands. Has unusual white flowers. I wouldn't mind one or two seed pods when they are ripe(orange) - I have another species which has divided leaves. Tony |

Judy, Its not a Tacca integrifolia its a Geodorum densiflorum- a type of ground Orchid. The native Tacca is leontopetaloides..integrifolia is an exotic species. Looks like you have Snakeweed and Praxelis growing there too ! regards Kris |

| Now that I have seen the plant flower I can confirm it is Geodorum densiflorum. Cheers Judy
