Kuranga Nursery in Mt Evelyn, Melbourne stock a couple of forms of Araucaria. They mail order to mainland Australia, but not sure if they'd send to N.Z., but you'd need to contact them. www.kuranga.com.au They have a plant list you can download and view if you want to see what they do have.

I thought the original poster wanted the gum exuded from the tree. No idea where you'd get it though!

Arttulip A check with the people at MAF will answer your question on importing live plants, however, I doubt you'll have much luck.

Hi arttulip Do you mean Kauri gum (amber like) from Agathis australis? If so obviously New Zealand is the right place to find it... A few web sites have pieces for sale, try a google search. I've not come across anything similar from Araucaria sp though.

Hard to know what the poster was getting at. It could be the NZ Kauri, Agathis australis. The Araucaria genus, on the other hand, is a conifer and there are three of them in Australia, the Hoop Pine, Bunya Pine and Norfolk Island Pine. But do these trees exude a gum? The NZ Kauri certainly does. Roy |

Hoop Pine, Bunya Pine and Norfolk Island Pine. Hi folks, been trying to find a supply of seed for Bunya and N.I Pine but here in the U.K the seed is usually old and unreliable by the time we get it, anyone know of a supplier of fresh stuff that i can buy from direct in Oz?.
