Best Fruiting Lilly Pilly

My sister has a great lilly pilly - standard - with lovely largeish fruit (size of a marble). She has no idea what type it is (gardener selected it for her).

Would anyone recommend a lilly pilly for its fruit? Size and taste are the two most important aspects.

I have a hedge of Elegance lilly pillies, recently planted - I don't think they bear large berries though.

Thanks.
Aggie

Hi Aggie,

This is likely to upset some people, but I havent seen a native LP which has fruit comparable to the exotic varieties for size. Syzygium Jambos and Jambolana both have large fruit, but the mention of these species elicits howls of protest from many of the regulars.

Cheers,

Artie
