Dividing Kangaroo Paw and NZ Flax

When is the best time to divide these plants - Autumn or spring

I'm not an expert but I'm considering the kangaroo paw division thing at the moment.
I would think now, is a good time, with the heat gone, but late September might be okay once the cold has cold.

I would suggest now for the roo paws while there is still some heat in the ground. If you leave it until spring you will more than likely miss out on this year's flowers. Good idea to put native fertiliser in the bottom of the hole, cover with a layer of soil mix,then plant and mulch.

Yes, April is the best time, they naturally start to regrow following rain after the summer dry.April has always been succesful for me.
