Instant Garden 2

I posted a message re Artie's Instant Garden, then immediately wanted to add to it. The forum wouldn't accept a second message from me on the same subject - hence the new heading. (Oh I do have trouble with this internet technology!)
I forgot to mention that the mini-bottle tree with dense little canopy in ten years is from seed. The advanced trees Ted gave to my preschool were about 2m high, but still had their baby-leaf canopies, which were sparse. Good healthy trees, though. I don't know whether his stock, five years later, would include any which have matured to the dense adult-leaf canopy stage, but it might be worth pursuing.
Have you investigated grafted Eucalypts? many of these are ptychocarpa x ficifolia, and probably come on a rootstock suited to your area. They flow gorgeously from their first year. Top value, for someone willing to pay the price.

Trish,
If you ever need to do that again, just add or change something in the 'subject of posting' line. It can be anything you like , a letter, a punctuation mark, whatever and that will get it through.
Cheers,
Dee.
