Gday,
One of my Elegance has alot of ants climbing up and down it and heaps of small (abt 3mm) black round slightly raised scaly lumps on on the branches which I can pick off. The bush also looks a little bit sick but does not appear fatal at the moment.
Any ideas on waht this is and what I can do? I have tried pyrethrum
thanks in anticipation

| Thanks mistymorn, I just had a look at "Garden Problem Solver" at the library and yes it appears to be black scale. Aggie, Yes I have four in pots, they are really nice plants (except for the infected one) They are prone to Physllids (i can never spell that)but I used some Pyrethrum and that has cleared most of that up. My plants are only 6 months old. I will let you know how the white oil treatment goes cheers scott |
