Sydney Wildflower West closing

I read with much concern that Sydney Wildflower West, in Marsden Park will be closing for good on 30th June this year. This is very disapointing, as this nursery has been the source of the majority of our plants over the last 6 years.

Does anyone know of another good native nursery in Western Sydney? I can name probably 2 retail outlets which have been going for a while, but their range is nowhere near as good as Sydney Wildflower West, especially with tube stock.

This news is both a shock and a shame. Wildflower West has the best collection of native plants in Sydney, more comprehensive and better displayed than either Heathcote or Terry Hills. This will leave a substantial hole in the native plants market which I hope is filled by somebody with a passion for native plants and not by one of the corporate entities masquarading as nurseries.

I don't want to deride either Heathcote or Terry Hills but Marsden Park was the benchmark.

I haven't been there yet but I was thinking of trying these:

Sydney's Plant Market
184 Annangrove Road, Annangrove

or

Hills District Native Nursery
7 School Road, Galston

I know they're not west but not too far away.

I still like the Wildflower Nursery at Terrey Hills.

Thanks penny. Do you know if they are open to the public, and whether they have a good range of tubestock? We still have Cranebrook Native Nursery and Cumberland State Forest, but they can both be a bit limiting.

Sorry, no, I haven't been to either of these nurseries as yet. I've run out of room in my garden but I should go for a browse.
