Propagating Natives

Hi,
Finally spent some time last weekend potting up some cuttings.

I have rows of little pots with cuttings under plastic of Grevillea Superb, Westringa, and an unknown prostrate Grevillea. I have taken cuttings of Westringa before and have had good success.

I also planted in a tray lots of the bulbils of Asplenium bulbiferum. I'm hoping they will take root. Not too sure if this was the correct thing to do as I believe it may have been better to tie the whole frond down to the ground to allow the bulbils to take root. Anyway, I detached some with a little bit of frond and placed them in a tray again covered loosely by plastic. They look very cute almost like they are already baby plants...so here's hoping.
Bye for now

Neely - Now is actually a good time to try and strike cuttings before the colder part of our Victorian winter. I too am currently stocking the hothouse as I get a good strike rate with autumn cuttings.

Besides a hothouse would probably get little use otherwise at this time.
