Can anybody advise me of the best method to grow Poinciana from seed?Do I need to scarifiy the seed before sowing it?

RE: Poinciana tree seeds

I'm unaware they need any special treatment, whenever the poinciana out front of my place flowers and seed pods fall I get baby poincianas sprouting in my garden! I garden near Tweed Heads, NSW, - almost sub-tropics. I understand that because of it's seed's readiness to germinate the tree has been declared a weed in Queensland. However, further south of about Coffs Harbour (NSW), germaination might be more difficult.

I propagates without any help from seed. As funnelweb said, it is a weed. Always coming up in my dump mulch. Also not a native.
cheers
