Diseased Citrinus Endeavour

I have several Citrinus endeavour bushes that are showing signs of disease. The leaves on this summers shoots are rolled up, are flacid and are going red. Will this kill my plants? What can I do to get rid of this problem?

RE: Diseased Citrinus Endeavour

Hi Hank,
I presume you are talking about Callistemon Citrinus 'Endeavour'. Are you sure that there is actually a problem? The new shoots are always a reddish colour and will be softer than the older leaves. If they are particularly flacid they may just be a bit thirsty. I don't know how old your plants are. When established, Callistemons are renowned for their ability to withstand both drought and wet feet and suffer little from pests and diseases. Sorry I can't be of much help with this.
Cheers,
Dee.
