On gardening australia there is a fact sheet on the above only it is not there Does anybody have it or advise how to do it Thanks

Depends how old and big the clump is. You can use a spade and just cut through into segments. I divide them into pieces about half the size of my spade. Take as much root as possible. Cut all the top growth off.

Every Autumn about now, I cut the top growth down to ground level to control Black Ink Fungus. I actually cut them back just over a week ago, and now there are fresh green shoots coming away already.

I have also cut mine down - but I think I did it too early in the summer and they have gone all brown with no regrowth - do you think I've killed them?
