I can buy the native red raspberry here

I just wondered how many if any efforts have been made to improve the variety for flavor and larger fruit size. I'm told they are rather mild flavored say compared to heritage.
The Indian variety Mysore grows well here, grows to about 6 ft, produces like crazy, the birds don't eat them and a good red would be a dream come true for this area.
Anyone there have comments or would recommend them?
Just as a note I have been an avid opal cutter for years getting rough from your country until amateurs got on the internet and the price of quite inferior rough went up too much to be interesting. |

| Which "native red raspberry" is it that you can buy? Rubus probus is said to be Australia's best, but I have been unable to buy it here. |
