what type of grass tree

hi just wondering if any one can tell me what type of or even if it is a grass tree. it has the same leaves of grass tree it has no trunk it also gets the same flower as a g.t but insead of the flower running nelly all the way down the sitck it sort of is just on the top part. it grows round the crescent head area. someone has told me it not a type of g.t but it just looks so much like one . thank you

This may be Xanthorrhoea macronema, which is the smallest of the grass trees, at least on the east coast. I think it's fairly common on the NSW north coast.
