mushroom compost

Is it true that mushroom compost is toxic to aust. native plants?

Its ok to use on natives, have a read of the link below.
Can be very alkaline its usually about 9 or 10 on the PH scale.
Do not use on Acid loving plants, azalea, camellia, gardenia or rhododendron.

I would recommend NOT using mushroom compost around any natives; just to be on the safe side. As Misty says Mushroom compost is very alkaline and as nearly all natives prefer acid soils, you will surely suffer an iron deficiency/phosphorous toxicity problem. Grevilleas, banksias etc are very sensitive to alkaline conditions.
