Advice please: I need a fast growing Native tree

Hi there all, Hope you all had a Happy New Year. It's been so hot and horrible here. Now thankfully there is a little relief with cooler weather and I can get out int the garden again. Yay! Can anyone recommend a native tree that is fast growing will cope with sandy soil and coastal conditions. I would ideally like a good shady canopy. I did chop down a big conifer from the spot I want to plant but I have had most of the roots ground out and have improved the soil. Looking forward to your help. Cheers GG

I have a wattle in a similar position and it is now HUGE (bigger than I would have liked) and THRIVING!!! Maybe add a little garden mix to the hole when its planted??? I'm sure others can give better (or more accurate) advice though....

Hiya, Thanks for the advice and the link...I had thought about a wattle but they don't agree with me when they flower! Other plants don't bother me at all. Happy Gardening GG.

For SA try Euc cladocalyx. They have been planted all over the state so you can't do much more damage. Mine have grown almost 5 metres in 3 years and their growth rate is accelerating.
