Hibbertia vestita/guinea flower--losing leaves

Posted by fairywren NSW (My Page) on

We planted several small Hibbertia vestita/guinea flower plants in the late spring in a garden with sandy soil and direct sun in bondi junction.

In the last month the glossy little leaves dulled, then turned brown and started dropping off. I have been giving them seasol every couple weeks and it was suggested that this might be the problem.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Any suggestions on how to make them happy again?

Too much, too frequent watering? How often areyou watering? How much do you apply?

You put a plant that had been grown in the shade into the sun?

I am sure Seasol (totally organic) wasn't/isn't the problem.

Joe
