Well i rubbed the milky stuff all over my hands, wrists and neck. i didnt notice any effects whatsoever. but, i did happen to sleep right through until 1.30pm the next day...which is unusual for me - im usually up with the birds.... im not sure if it was the lettuce sap or whether it was just that i was lacking greatly in sleep, but ill try it again when i have had plenty of sleep to see what happens.........

No wonder they are moving at a snail's pace. Darn things are doped-up on lettuce.

I read recently that it's the wild or Prickly lettuce that has the highest concentration of lactucarium, the alkaloid responsible for the effect. Apparently it's known as "lettuce opium" and has been used as an adulterant in true opium. http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/l/lettuc17.html
