It's a pity the site doesn't mention aromatherapy - the medicinal and psychological benefits of aroma. There are many sites on the subject, one below. Suddenly, 'stopping to smell the roses' takes on a new meaning.

Many claims made by naturopaths are questionable at best. Many plant extracts and oils do have strong medicinal properties of course, but many others are nothing more than placebo or ineffective, or even dangerous. The best resource for proven medical properties of plant products is Herbmed. Herbmed is a search engine linked to the databases of scientific journals online, clinical and scientific trials, which have been published in reputable peer review journals. Very useful...
