hi everyone ,just a little question (I think)my sister -in -law gave me some garlic and she said its called russian garlic the bulbs are quite large ,so do I plant it the same as normal garlic .any info much appreciated

I live in Canada, here we plant it in the fall (makes bigger garlic). We just put the gloves in the ground before the winter. 2" down. In spring it comes up and is wonderful strong and healthy looking.

I grow russian garlic which I got from my Dad's place. he has about an acre of it, so if anyone is desperately seeking some let me know and we'll see what we can do. We have eaten it and it's very nice. Milder than regualr garlic, you can roast it and eat it like a vegetable, but beware, it has been known to cause serious flatulence!
