Heracleum persicum

I'm looking for seed of this plant or information from anyone growing it or using it. I currently buy the dried spice from Persian grocers but would love to grow it myself! Help please...

Amazed that after all this time there is no response. Perhaps you should ask your Persian grocer. Perhaps there's a relative in Iran/Afghanistan who would send over some seed.

Thanks Raymondo. I have some of the powdered seed from a persian grocer. Noone seems to have the whole seed. I DO know someone with relatives in Iran. I asked him about it but he said he didn't know. Nevermind, my garden is getting a bit overcrowded anyway, especially for another giant like this. :)

I found its common name listing (Persian heracleum) at the UQ New Crops site (link below) - maybe someone there might know of a source?

Have you checked any holistic food store in your area? I haven't heard of anything about this seed. It must be available somewhere though. Good luck with your search!
