French Tarragon

does any one grow and collect seed of this?, can it be grown easily from seed?

RE: French Tarragon

The real French Tarragon rarely sets seeds. I wouldn't trust anybody selling them - they are probably Russian Tarragon which is very much inferior and much more weedy.

You need to buy a plant or take a cutting from somebody else's to be absolutely sure you're getting the Real Thing.

If you can't get it, an acceptable substitution is Winter Tarragon (Mexican Tarragon Mint and many other names), Tagetes lucida.
