I live on the northern beaches of sydney and want to find a place close by to get all my herbs from. Its dissapointing how few herbs the mainstream nurseries stock!

I find that Gardens'r'Us stock the biggest range of herbs (or at least the one at Kingsgrove does); there is a Gardens'r'us at Belrose. If you are looking for herbs of a more unusual nature you will have to look to mail-order for those.

We are friends with the people who run the franchise Renaissance herbs here in Adelaide but the parent company is in NSW. They have an excellent range of herbs available and if you find a nursery and ask them to order stuff they'll get it in for you.

Have a look at the webpage.

Here is a link that might be useful: renaissance herbs webpage

These are the herbs stocked by Gardens'R'Us and this nursery has the biggest range among the other nurseries in this area (southern Sydney). Several other nurseries (e.g. Flower Power) used to have them but I have noticed recently that they either do not have them or else use another grower.

I'm on Northern Beaches, least the first of them, Manly, and quite like Manly Garden Centre, though expensive. What I have in my beds comes mainly from Flower P. and it's just fine. Rosemary, garlic chives, sage, thyme, orgeano, parsley. My sweet basil and coriander comes via Yates seed packs.

Hi its me again, i just moved to manly! lol conincidentally. Im on the waterfront and i get the feeling that the salt is killing off some of the new herbs i baught for the new house. My basil and chammomile are dieing quickly. they get heaps of sun and are watered very regularly. Any input would be great or at least stories of others sharing my pain!

There is a great herb nursery between Lithgow and Mudgee (just 5km north of the village of Capertee). Its called Kadisha and sells hundreds of herbs.

Smithy, I know that nursery.....have been there on a couple of occasions. Fascinating place, at first it looks a bit wild and unkempt and being on a hill it can be a bit windy.

Anyone who wants to know more about it can type 'Kadisha Herb Nursery' into google and there are a couple of references to this nursery.

While I think of it, in Mudgee itself there is a nursery (at was last time I was there) called Herbs by Hand. Do you know if it is still there
