Hi, I have grown pineapple sage for the first time this summer. It has flowered well but is now nearly finished. Can anyone tell me what I do with it now. Cut it back? Leave it alone? or pull it out and start again, Thanks Kathy

Do you mean the flowering is finished or the plant is finished? I doubt if it's the plant, which will be looking a bit ratty by now, eh? Give it a savage haircut and it'll bounce back.

The plant itself is quite healthy it's just the flowering which is finishing and I was wondering if I needed to cut it back or not. Kathy

Yes,It could do with quite a severe haircut back to the lowest bud, then it will regrow with vigour into a lovely bushy plant. I have it as an infill in some large borders, and it looks magnificent. Also in case you didn't know the flowers are fantastic in salads, looks sensational and tasted good. Judie
