Hello, I wonder if anyone can tell me of Lemon Mint. I haven't seen it in our local nurseries here in SA and wonder if it is avialable via mail order somewhere. A friend said she saw it in a nursery in Victoria. Does anyone know where it can be obtained and what the plant is like? Appreciate information. Kind Regards Valerie

I haven't seen a lemon mint either. I wonder if it could be Lemon Balm?

RE: Lemon Mint

Hello Daisy. I have just obtained a tiny plant of lime mint, bought from a trading table, the husband was selling and knew nothing about it as his wife was the gardener. There is, well so my friend said, a lemon mint as well and it is delicious in drinks in the summer. The lime mint is just lovely, very fragrant, truly smelling of limes. Valerie, SA.

RE: Lemon Mint, - a description

To those kind enough to reply regarding lemon mint, here is the description. It is part of the mentha family. As I said, I would love to know where to buy it. Valerie SA

Lemon Mint Mentha cv Mint, Lemon The rich lemon flavored leaves of Lemon mint can be used to flavor drinks, salads, fish, and chicken. Like other mints, Lemon mint is a vigorous plant that spreads quickly. Plant it in containers to keep it from spreading through your garden. Can be planted outdoors in the Autumn. USA

I bought a Lemon Mint plant last year from the Renaissance range. I was actually very disappointed in this mint as it had no definite lemony smell.

I have a Monarda in my garden which I've seen labelled Lemon mint. It smells nothing like lemons, actually, it's more like regular Bergamot. Oregano even...

RE: Lemon Mint

Thanks to all regarding the lemon mint.Seems as if it may be a Monarda and not Mentha as written in the article copy I posted. I will just have to be content with the lime mint and lemon balm. Thanks everyone for your help and replies. Valerie.
