Hi everybody, I've approached a couple of nurseries to buy 100 petunias (or 150) and/or 100 dwarf impatiens, but they're not interested as their bulk suppliers would only do 500 of the same kind (if at all) Any clues. I'm on the north sideof Bris. I really dont have a semi shaded area to raise my own and I want flowers like yesterday. 6 or 8 in a punnet works out too expensive. Marnie

Try contacting some wholesale nurseries directly eg Pohlmans (they're probably expensive though). I've been out of the business too long to know who is around these days but there used to be some wholesale nurseries around Deception Bay to Caboolture areas that used to do potted colour. Also check out the markets as the ones who sell potted colour might be able to do it. It depends how long before you need them as if they had to plant them now you are looking at a few weeks before they are ready and some wholesale nurseries close down over Xmas. Good Luck.

another thought is your local council nursery - I'm sure they'd sell etra plants to you - or raise them for you for a price. tell the council it's to improve the streets' amenity by having a lovely garden - might work??
