Cheap plants

Rent-a-kill (sp) hire out plants to offices and then when they become tired or potbound they sell them.
You can call your local shop to find out what they have.
We just got 8 large plants for $100. Yuccas, palms, dragon trees and a fig.
They do look a little scrappy in places but after some care and attention I think they'll be fine.

RE: Cheap plants

Sounds like a good opportunity.

I used to work in a wholesale nursery whose main trade was to the plant hire industry, and they used to sell the second quality or marked plants cheaply. The hire companies wouldn't buy the plants if they were marked or an odd shape but the plants were still okay to plant in the garden.
