When to prune my new boronia

I recently bought a Boronia - Purple Jared and planted it in my garden approximately six weeks ago. It had a few little flowers on it when I bought it but they are gone now. It hasn't had any more flowers since. I know you should prune plants when they finish flowering.

Should you prune plants this early after planting - I would say it's definitely established and there is a lot of new growth on it?

It says that it flowers through to late spring so should I wait another month and then prune it?

Any help would be appreciated. I want to keep it nice and bushy and compact but don't want to prune it too soon or too late.

Thank you.

RE: When to prune my new boronia

Hi Penny I prune everything especially natives as they tend to get very leggy..

Prune after flowering is the usual thing to do but have a read on the link below, it states **An idea worth considering is to prune whilst the plants are in full bloom** maybe that will give a extra flush of flowers who knows..

Plenty of other info on that link Penny makes interesting reading.. Cheers Misty
