I bought some sandy soil for a garden bed, it was perfect I thought, it was so fine [ fine as beach sand ] that water would run off it. the only way to wet deep was with a fine spray, then it would not dry out and certain plants would rot and dye what is a solution to make it course
Ihave at my disposible RIVER SAND cow dung and horse dung,

RE: sandy soil

Don't use horse manure unless you love weeding cow manure is fine , organic material is needed ,I don't think river sand will help ,I have used rotted sawdust and old potting mix as well ,where I am the red soil was very fine and hot
