How to propagte Golden Canes

Helen you can propagate them by removal of suckers, or just plant the seeds in a pot.
But they take about six months to germinate. I have never planted them only Alexandra Palms.

I have the little buggars coming up all over the place here. Seed actually takes a bit less than that, I have seeds germinate after around 1 month here. Subsequent seedling growth is quite rapid.

Can take up to 6 mths but may be quicker in warmer conditions. Quick growing once germinated. I used to work in a wholesale nursery where we used to grow them by the thousands but we started them off in a greenhouse with bottom heat. Big seller in the southern states (used to be anyway about 15-20yrs ago).
