Well we have been preparing for 12 months for this.
Lots of projects completed and 100s of new plantings.
Funny weather, would of thought that because of the mild winter, hot autuum and some rain that a lot of the plants would be flowering early this year, they are not especially the Gingers.
Still the place looks good and all visitors should enjoy themselves.
Lions club will be catering again and the cakes will all be home cooked.
Kasper will be here to answer all questions on tropical fruit and nuts and norm will be demostrating his waterfork.
It will be an interesting day for Gardeners.
I will post Pictures of the open days on my photobucket album, when recovered. Had over 7000 hits in 3 weeks, pretty amazing. Hope they don't all roll up, that's a lot of snags to cook.
If you come say hello to either Judy or me.
Regards
Ian |

May I congratulate you too. The garden is truly a work of art, beautifully created. It was lovely to meet you both and see you surrounded by such a wonderful group of family and friends and visitors. I have already planted the wonderful plants I took home with the faint hope that I may create another patch of heaven. Well done. |

Ian and Judy We enjoyed ourselves also, strolling down those meandering paths with the birds in the trees and the lizards in the garden and on the rocks. The new Brom house was great and I have never seen so many broms in one place before, just Marvelous, have you even made a count of how many plants are there. I would love to know. A great morning your garden is a credit to you both....Cheers..MM P.S Daniel how come you are in nearly everyone of my pics I had to crop them all. HJ How come we missed you we waited till just before mid-day. These are Ian and Judys, so beautiful.

I'm sitting here drooling and feeling very left out!! I wish I could have seen it too but it is just a little too far for a Sunday drive. I hope everyone posts some more pictures for us Southeners. Glad it all went well. Cheers, Dee. |

| Ian & Judy - I was gobsmacked by your wonderful garden. It is just what I have been trying to achieve at my place. You say it is a "giving" garden, but from what I saw, you are "giving" people, as so many gardeners are. Congratulations on your beautiful garden and a successful Open Garden. I came home with some plants and am still trying to find space for the black sapote! |

So good to see this garden in the flesh and I feel lucky that the opening fitted in with an overnight trip to Brisbane. The details of such things as the integration of trellises, the rock edging and paths and even the way an aerial plant was attached to a tree trunk are what most interested me. On with the next project, a ???? Rose |
